Discovery and expression analysis of nodulation genes in soybean
نویسنده
چکیده
Abstract: Soybean develop new root organs that become nitrogen-fixing nodules in response to signals from rhizobacteria and then use complex systemic signalling to control cell proliferation. Recent application of functional genomics resulted in the characterization of genes encoding Leucine rich repeat (LRR) receptor kinases controlling these early nodulation steps. With short and long distance signal exchange involved, these discoveries of key genetic components signal a new era of mechanistic insights into soybean nodulation and nitrogen fixation symbiosis and plant developmental genetics in general.

Search for Nodulation and Nodule Development-Related Cystatin Genes in the Genome of Soybean (Glycine max)
Nodulation, nodule development and senescence directly affects nitrogen fixation efficiency, and previous studies have shown that inhibition of some cysteine proteases delay nodule senescence, so their nature inhibitors, cystatin genes, are very important in nodulation, nodule development, and senescence. Although several cystatins are actively transcribed in soybean nodules, their exact roles ...
متن کاملGenome Wide Identification and Expression Profiling of Ethylene Receptor Genes during Soybean Nodulation
It has long been known that the gaseous plant hormone ethylene plays a key role in nodulation in legumes. The perception of ethylene by a family of five membrane-localized receptors is necessary to trigger the ethylene signaling pathway, which regulates various biological responses in Arabidopsis. However, a systematic analysis of the ethylene receptors in leguminous plants and their roles in n...

Introduction: HER2-enriched subtype of breast cancer has a worse prognosis than luminal subtypes. Recently, the discovery of targeted therapies in other groups of breast cancer has increased patient survival. The aim of this study was to identify genes that affect the overall survival of this group of patients based on a systems biology approach. Methods: Gene expression data and clinical infor...
متن کاملIn-Depth Genomic and Transcriptomic Analysis of Five K+ Transporter Gene Families in Soybean Confirm Their Differential Expression for Nodulation
Plants have evolved a sophisticated network of K+ transport systems to regulate growth and development. Limited K+ resources are now forcing us to investigate how plant demand can be satisfied. To answer this complex question, we must understand the genomic and transcriptomic portfolio of K+ transporters in plants. Here, we have identified 70 putative K+ transporter genes from soybean, includin...
متن کاملLarge-scale analysis of putative soybean regulatory gene expression identifies a Myb gene involved in soybean nodule development.
Nodulation is the result of a symbiosis between legumes and rhizobial bacteria in soil. This symbiosis is mutually beneficial, with the bacteria providing a source of nitrogen to the host while the plant supplies carbon to the symbiont. Nodule development is a complex process that is tightly regulated in the host plant cell through networks of gene expression. In order to examine this regulatio...
